The device supports a wide range of video, audio and image formats. The direct copy feature can be used to copy the contents from a camcorder or a camera to an USB hard drive connected to the rear without using a PC. Chumby has a 1 hour rechargeable battery but it is meant to be connected, probably standing in your night table or your desk.
